James R. Coughlin, a food safety consultant based in California, has joined GRAS Associates of Reno on a limited basis as senior consultant.

Coughlin, a graduate of the University of California, Avis, worked for Armour Foods, General Foods, and Kraft General Foods before he launched the consulting firm of Coughlin & Associates in 1992.
