A class that teaches retail clerks how to prepare a court summons is scheduled by the Reno Police Department on Friday. The class teaches them to write summonses for trespassing and shoplifting. (The summonses are forwarded to police and prosecutors for review before cases are filed.)
The class is free. It begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Regional Public Safety Training Facility, 5190 Spectrum Blvd., Room 105.
