Bill Anderson has been named chief economist in the research and analysis bureau of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
Anderson, who succeeds the retired Bob Murdock, previously spent 10 years with the state's budget office in the Department of Administration.
He also has worked as an economic analyst for the City of Milwaukee, Penn State University, the Congressional Research Service and Federal Mogul Corp.
Anderson holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree from Wayne State University.
