AGC members recognized for safety

Krump Construction Inc. has been recognized by Nevada Chapter Associated General Contractors for the best safety record among general building contractors with more than 200,000 hours worked in 2005.

Q&D Construction, meanwhile, was recognized for the best record among general engineering contractors with more than 1 million hours worked last year.

Other firms recognized by the AGC included:

* Best safety record, building contractors: TNT Construction Inc. (under 50,000 hours worked); United Construction (more than 150,000 hours worked).

* Best safety record, general engineering contractors: Gerhardt & Berry Construction (under 50,000 hours worked); PAR Electrical Contractors (more than 150,000 hours worked); Silverado Excavating Co. (more than 250,000 hours worked) WES Construction Co. (more than 350,000 hours worked).

* Best safety record, specialty contractors: J&J Mechanical Inc. (under 25,000 hours worked); Silver State Masonry (under 50,000 hours worked); Omboli Interiors Inc. (more than 50,000 hours worked); Reno Iron Works (more than 100,000 hours worked); RHP Mechanical Systems (more than 250,000 hours worked).

Best safety record, suppliers: Granite Aggregate.

"Golden Hard Hat" award: PAR Electrical Contractors.

Recognized for completing the year with no lost-time accidents were Crane Plumbing & Heating Inc.; Granite Aggregates - Lockwood; J & J Mechanical Inc.; L and L Plumbing & Heating, Inc.; Lindell's Painting Service; Lucky Concrete Inc.; PAR Electrical Contractors; Pavers Plus Inc.; Reno Iron Works Inc.; Rilite Aggregate; Shaver Construction Inc.; Silver State Masonry; TNT Construction Inc. and Trammell Crow Construction.
