Reno's Altair Nanotechnologies said last week it struck a deal with Alcoa's AFL automotive business to develop a battery pack system for medium-duty hybrid trucks.
The agreement covers system design, development and prototyping, which is expected to be complete in early 2007.
Terms weren't disclosed.
