'Matchmaking' event to introduce businesses to government buyers

A Nevada Business Matchmaking Event will give small business owners a chance to pitch their products and services to government agencies.

The event, sponsored in part by the Procurement Outreach Program of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 19 at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks. Cost is $35.

Business representatives will schedule 10-minute meetings with purchasing representatives of government agencies and can provide agencies with a sheet listing the company's capabilities.

The Nevada Business Matchmaking Event is offered in conjunction with the Veterans Business Outreach Center and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/South Pacific Division during the 6th Annual Veterans and Small Business Training and Outreach Conference.
