State sanctions five contractors

The Nevada State Contractors Board disciplined five contractors in northern Nevada, revoking the licenses of two of them.

The license of Western States Erectors Inc. of Reno was revoked after the board found it abandoned a construction project. The company also was fined $2,850 and ordered to pay $151,600 in restitution to the damaged parties.

The license of Mead and Son Roofing of Fallon was revoked after the company failed to pay for materials and services. The company also was fined $2,000 and ordered to pay $10,920 in restitution to the damaged party.

R D Swope Construction of Reno was fined $1,350 for disregard of plans.

East Slope Builders of Reno was fined $350 for failure to release a lien when payment was received.

Deblor Corp of Sparks was fined $1,600 for substandard workmanship and failure to comply with an order from the board to correct the work.
