AES executive takes spot on Altair board of directors

Robert F. Hemphill, executive vice president of AES Corporation, has joined the board of directors of Reno-based Altair Nanotechnologies Inc.

Virginia-based AES Corp. purchased 1.5 percent of Altair's common stock for $3 million in March.
