Craig Wesner has been promoted to chief operating officer of Lumos and Associates Inc., overseeing operation of the five offices of the Carson City-based planning and engineering firm.
Wesner previously worked as principal of the Lumos and Associates office in Reno, a position he has held since 1999.
He succeeds Buzz Fitzpatrick as chief operating officer. Fitzpatrick has been named chief financial officer of Lumos.
Succeeding Wesner as principal of the Reno office will be Randall Long, who previously headed the company's Carson City office. And Thomas Young, who previously was engineering manager of the Carson City office, has been promoted to succeed Long. Michael Bennett, previously a project manager, has been promoted to engineering manager at the Carson City office.
Long, Young and Bennett each have worked more than 10 years for Lumos, beginning when they were engineering students at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Doug Potts has rejoined the firm as surveying manager in Carson City. He previously worked for the Bureau of Land Management for five years after an earlier six-year stint with Lumos.
Dave Pearson, who previously worked for Lumos as a senior engineer for six years before moving to California, has returned as a project manager overseeing land development projects in the company's Reno office.
