The AMEC Earth and Environmental Division, with an office in Reno, won a contract to design dry-stack tails impoundment facilities planned by Golden Phoenix Minerals of Sparks at its Mineral Ridge mine in Esmeralda County.
The design work is scheduled for completion next spring as part of a study by Golden Phoenix into possible reopening of the mine.
