Reno Lawn & Landscape wins association's award

Reno Lawn & Landscape won the top award in competition sponsored by the Nevada Landscape Association.

The company won the President's Award as well as first place in the large commercial maintenance category for its work at the Cottages at Montreaux.

Also recognized in the landscape association's Trophy Awards program:

* Outdoor Environments of Nevada, first place in commercial renovation for its work at Keystone Office. Second award for use of hardscape and special features at Keystone Office. First place in residential renovation for its work at the Fogel and Reardon residence. Sara Anderson, owner of the firm, also was recognized for the environmentally wise design at the Fogel and Reardon home.

* Signature Landscapes: First place for residential installations of less than $5,000 for its work at the Kelly residence; first place in mid-sized commercial maintenance for its work at Rancho San Rafael Town Homes and second place in the category for its work at Classic Residence; first place in small commercial maintenance for its work for Primary Image; second place in large commercial maintenance for its work at Resort at Tanamera.

Hain Enterprises: First place in use of hardscape and special features for its Silver Wolf Falls project.

Santiago Landscape & Maintenance Inc: Second place in residential renovation for its work at the Cronin residence.

Kerrie Badertscher, formerly with University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, was recognized for contributions to the education of the green industry, and Ellis Antunez of Truckee Meadows Community College was honored with the association's "Ambassador Award."

Reno Lawn & Landscape and Signature Landscapes won the association's "Tony Armstrong Humanitarian Award" for contributions of labor and materials to the community.
