Michael R. Griffin, who recently retired as a district court judge in Carson City, has joined the law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario as "of counsel."
Griffin will be based in the firm's Reno office and lead its statewide mediation and arbitration practice.
He served 28 years on the bench after serving as a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and as a state public defender and working in a private practice.
Griffin earned a degree in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a law degree from the University of San Francisco.
