Edwin Pereyra, controller and treasurer of Media West Affiliated Companies, has been elected president of the Nevada Society of CPAs Reno Chapter for the '07-'08 fiscal year.
Other officers include Diane Parkinson, assurance senior manager for Grant Thornton, LLP, president-elect; Cynthia Birk, associate professor for the University of Nevada, Reno, vice president; Sandra Cardinal, internal auditor director for the Nevada System of Higher Education, secretary; and David Stark, audit manager for Pangborn & Co., Ltd., treasurer.
Newly elected board members include Lisa Carlon of MTK Ltd. LLC; Jeff Tenenbaum, past president; and Virginia Zorio, sole proprietor and immediate past president.
