Robert Buchan has been appointed executive chairman of the board of directors of Reno-based Allied Nevada Gold Corp.
Buchan has been a director of the publicly held company since March and chairman of the board since April.
The company also said John Ivany, D. Bruce Sinclair and Robert Wardell have been elected to its board.
Ivany recently retired as executive vice president at Kinross Gold Corp. Sinclair is a former president of Dell Canada and head of Dell Europe. Wardell is vice president and chief financial officer of Victory Nickel Inc.
