Los Altos Crossing, a 15-acre retail center at Pyramid Highway and Los Altos Parkway, will total 101,000 square feet, says developer Dave Frear, manager of Flamingo Paradise Partners LLC.
Phase 1, with 75,000 square feet, should be completed by year's end. Phase 2 on Caldera Drive brings an additional 26,000 square feet and is slated for completion by next summer. Frear is also a vice president at Colliers Industrial International in Las Vegas.
Tenants at Los Altos Crossing include Terrible Herbst (formerly Winners Corner), restaurants, a sports bar, paint store, credit union, casino, fast food and a food court, says Shawn Smith, senior associate at Colliers International in Reno.
Nadel Architects Inc. of Las Vegas designed the center. Miles Construction is the general contractor and Jeff Codega Planning and Design Inc. is the civil engineer.
Frear plans a second center, Pyramid Mercantile, on a 25-acre site at Pyramid Highway and Calle de la Plata. Sierra Triple Net LLC, is the developer, with Frear as manager.
Grading has begun on the five-plus acre parcel, although it will be a few years before construction starts. The rustic, western-looking center will also include 30,000 square feet of flex office space.
Design for Pyramid Mercantile is also by Nadel Architects and by Bartlett Architecture of Reno. Miles Construction is general contractor and Hunter Creek Engineering is the civil engineer.
