Since Northern Nevada Business Weekly was launched five years ago, we've sought to become the region's primary source for business news and information.
We're taking that a step farther this week as we launch The Orange Book, a business-to-business directory and resource guide.
The Orange Book, available in a print edition and on-line at the start of next year, provides contact information names, phone numbers, addresses, Web sites for 23,000 northern Nevada businesses. It's designed to make it easy to find suppliers for your business and for you to prospect for potential new clients.
Also included will be the resources you need to answer the questions that arise every day. Data about local economic conditions and historic trends will help your decision-making. Contact information for government agencies will help you get the information you need quickly.
Although The Orange Book won't be on the streets until January, you'll be hearing a lot about it in the next few weeks. Your business soon will receive a postcard, asking that you verify the basic listing business name and telephone number that we have in our files. When you verify the listing, your firm will be automatically upgraded to a listing that also includes your address and Web site, making it easier for potential customers to reach you.
We also will market a limited number of advertising opportunities in the print and on-line editions of The Orange Book.
Your contributions and suggestions have been invaluable to us. We continue to welcome them as we undertake this newest initiative to keep northern Nevada businesspeople well informed.
