A development project nearing completion in Sparks will test the strength of a new market medical office space for physicians and other professionals who want to buy rather than lease.
About 28,000 square feet of medical office condominiums at Artisans Plaza is expected to be complete this summer, said co-developer Don Wilkerson, whose Gaston & Wilkerson Management Group is marketing the property.
Wilkerson said suites available for sale range from 3,000 to 7,000 square feet.
The project at Prater Way and Pullman Drive is less than a mile west of Northern Nevada Medical Center.
"We're getting some pretty good interest," Wilkerson said.
Artisans Plaza also includes about 10,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
A highlight of that building's exterior will be 315 hand-painted tiles created by Denise Oliver, whose Playful Potter store will be in Artisans Plaza. She joined with Wilkerson in developing the project.
The architect is Jim Wallace of Blakely Johnson & Ghusn. The contractor is K7 Construction of Reno.
