The Town Center at Virginia Crossing with office, retail and residential is rising at the same time that Park Lane Mall, its neighbor across the street, is being readied for demolition.

And while the redevelopment plan for that site remains under wraps, "Potential redevelopment of Park Lane Mall will bring amenities that office users love to have," says Town Center leasing agent Dominic Brunetti, vice president, office properties, at NAI Alliance. He and Scott Shanks handle office space leasing.

The location, he says, is central to both downtown Reno and South Meadows. With four buildings to front Virginia Street, two-story in front and three-story behind, the 60,000 square feet of office space will be finished by spring and lease for about $2 per square foot.

Joel Grace, senior associate, retail, at NAI Alliance is leasing the ground-floor retail space, with a restaurant and coffee shop already signed. He's recruiting restaurants, entertainment, and spa/salon.

Panattoni Construction is the builder with Blakely Johnson & Ghusn Inc. as architects. SilverStar Development is building the residential component, designed by Carlin Williams Architects. It includes single-family homes in Glen Manor and detached townhouses in Camden.
