Dobbas Rail Service purchased five acres at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center and plans its first operating facility in Nevada.

The company based at Newcastle, Calif., provides services such as derailment cleanup and replacement of rail track that is out of alignment. Among its customers are the Union Pacific and BNSF railroads, and the property the company purchased is next to seven acres owned by BNSF.

Along with the Newcastle operation, the company owned by Jim Dobbas operates a facility at Roseville, Calif.
