Sierra Pacific Resources has settled a patent lawsuit brought by Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing L.P. of Los Angeles.
The utility company also has agreed to license technology developed by Katz for interactive and automated customer-service systems.
Terms of the settlement and license agreement weren't detailed.
