Terry Copeland has been named vice president for operations in the power and energy group of Reno-based Altair Nanotechnologies Inc.
Copeland, whose career includes work as North America director of engineering and director of product development for Duracell, most recently operated T.M. Copeland Associates, a consulting firm. He also has worked for DuPont Co.and Millennium Cell Inc.
He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware and a doctorate in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
