Sean Sever has been named public information officer and consumer representative for the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.
Sever previously worked two years as public information officer at Western Nevada College in Carson City. He is a journalism graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno.
He succeeds interim public information officer Rick Hackman, who continues as manager of the PUC's consumer division.
