A finger-scan technology developed by a Reno company will provide access to a recreation center to be developed in south Reno.

Pindi Products Inc. of Reno has developed patented technology that can determine a person's identity from a finger scan.

Court Sports Management Group, LLC, the developer of the JoGo courts sport center, will use the technology to control entry.

Joe Garcia, managing director of the JoGo developer, says the Pindi technology, which can track glucose levels and weight changes with a quick scan, also will be used to provide health-related information to users of the facility.

JoGo is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2008. It will be located near the Wal-Mart SuperCenter at Damonte Ranch Parkway and U.S. 395.
