Fast Company founder set as keynoter

Alan Webber, co-founder and former editor of Fast Company magazine, will be the keynote speaker at the 23rd Annual Governor's Industry Appreciation Awards (GIAA) dinner Nov. 1.

Webber, the former managing editor of the Harvard Business Review, also is a columnist for USA Today.

The Governor's Industry Appreciation Awards is co-hosted by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada and the Northern Nevada Development Authority in cooperation with the Nevada Commission on Economic Development. The event recognizes businesses that have moved to or expanded to Greater Reno-Tahoe.

The event at the Grand Sierra Resort begins with a no-host bar at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets and sponsorship information are available at www.edawn.org/giaa.
