Itronics Inc. of Reno said last week it's created new two subsidiaries.
One subsidiary will develop the photochemical-based thiosulfate technology to replace cyanide, which is currently used in mining operations. The other subsidiary will acquire early-stage and commercially operating mineral properties and mining companies.
Publicly held Itronics recycles photochemicals into fertilizer and operates a mining Web site, www.insidemetals.com.
