Patty Mamola, a founding partner of the Reno-based engineering firm of Bowling Mamola Group, has been elected chair of the Nevada State Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Mamola, appointed to the board by former Gov. Kenny Guinn in 2006, is the first woman engineer to serve as chair.
