The Nevada Commission on Economic Development last week launched a survey of businesspeople and others in the state to help set the commission's direction.
The survey it's available at http://respondnow.info/nced was developed by Reno's InfoSearch International, which also will compile and analyze the results.
The commission is distributing the survey in a viral fashion asking business organizations and the like to forward the Web link to their members.
Michael Skaggs, executive director of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development, noted that he was appointed to the job in May. The seven-member commission also has seen recent change as Miranda Du of Reno and Luis Valera of Henderson were appointed only this spring.
"It's a good time for us to pause and take a look at what we are doing," he said. "It's a good time to give the organization a stem-to-stern review."
The survey will close Sept. 2.
