Mountain States "Super Lawyer" magazine recognized Janet L. Chubb and Ann Morgan, shareholders with Jones Vargas in Reno, among its "Top 40 Women Lawyers in the Mountain Region." Chubb also was recognized for her work in bankruptcy law and Morgan for her work in employment law.
Other Jones Vargas stockholders in Reno recognized by the publication were Michael G. Alonso (gaming), Albert F. Pagni (medical malpractice defense) and William J. Raggio (administrative law).
Separately, Jones Vargas said Chubb has been appointed by DQ Holdings of Houston to serve on the committee overseeing the liquidation of Desert Power, a bankrupt limited partnership that owns a power plant in Utah.
