Geothermal draws tenants

Industrial park developer Jim Kingzett looked to the availability of geothermal power to lure tenants to Churchill Gateway Commerce Park, about eight miles east of Fernley.

Since spring, Vista Equipment began operations at the park, joining BLT RediMix Concrete, which expanded, says leasing agent Jeff Dakin of CB Select Real Estate.

He's now negotiating with two serious shoppers, one a large Fortune 500 company.

Meanwhile, across Highway 50 from the park, at Dark Horse geo-center, Vulcan Power has drilling rigs in operation, a prelude to future development of that site.
