The Fallon Tribal Development Corp., the business arm of the Fallon Pauite-Shoshone Tribe, announced plans a year ago to develop several parcels it owns in Fallon and Fernley.
Fox Peak Station in Fernley currently is under construction. Shaver Construction of Sparks is building a 6,000-square-foot convenience store, smokeshop and gas station expected to open in April or May.
Gerry Emm, economic development director for the tribal development corporation, says a 20,000-square-foot pad also will be developed at the site after the tribe secures a tenant.
The tribe also seeks tenants interested in developing its 33-acre Fox Peak Centre parcel on East Williams Street and its 2.3-acre Saiidi-Dahl parcel on west side of Fallon.
