Approximately 6,700 acres of residential and recreational land east of Lovelock in Pershing County will be sold at an auction Tuesday in Los Angeles.
More than 160 parcels, each of them about 40 acres, will be sold in 19 lots, said Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, which will conduct the auction. The auctioneer said the seller, which it didn't identify, hasn't set any minimum bids or reserve prices.
Because the property in the Humboldt River valley was subdivided before June 30, 2007, the parcels come with the right to build one home on each of them, said Kieran Holm, Ritchie Bros. regional manager.
Some of the bidders are expected to follow the action and place bids online, a spokeswoman for the auction said.
