Raymond C. "Skip" Avansino of Reno, the former president and chief operating officer of Hilton Hotels Corporation, has rejoined the board of GAMCO Investors Inc. of Rye, N.Y.
Avansino, who headed Hilton Hotels Corporation from 1993 to 1996, currently is chairman and chief executive officer of the E.L. Wiegand Foundation, counsel to the law firm of Avansino, Melarkey & Knobel, and an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
He previously served from 2000-2006 on the board of GAMCO, which manages mutual funds and private advisory accounts.
