Taxable sales in Washoe County during October fell by 2.1 percent from the same month a year earlier, the Nevada Department of Taxation reported.
Carson City reported a 7.9 percent decline in taxable sales from the previous year's levels.
Sales in Douglas County were down by 7.3 percent, Lyon County was down by 15.4 percent and Churchill County was up by 2.4 percent.
Statewide, taxable sales rose by 4.3 percent over year-earlier figures as Clark County recorded a 6.5 percent increase.
