Midwest Air Technologies, an Illinois company that manufactures and distributes products for the home improvement and automotive industries, plans a facility at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.
The company headquartered at Lincolnshire, Ill., has leased 140,000 square feet in a 500,000-square-foot building developed by Union Property Capital at the industrial park east of Sparks.
It's the first tenant announced for the building, which Union Property Capital developed as a speculative project.
Midwest Air Technologies executives didn't return calls seeking specifics about their company's plans in northern Nevada.
The company operates 20 manufacturing facilities and warehouses in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Its products include fencing, tools, power equipment, medical supplies and sporting goods.
