Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network burst onto the scene in the spring of 2007 with a flurry of members. And while it retains a base of about 300, it's been less successful in retaining leadership.

Following Amy Anderson and Keiland Henderson, each of whom served for six months, the group is now seeking its third executive director a paid, fulltime position.

The group is dealing with growing pains common to any new organization, says Stephani Foust, interim executive director and initial board member.

YPN holds a Raise the Bar social mixer each second Thursday and a Power Lunches monthly.

Next month, it launches The Pebble Project, a campaign aimed at encouraging young professionals to become actively involved in community organizations. Young Professionals Network differs from other local

networking groups, she says, in that young professionals "Live in the electronic age. They are dynamic,

changing, evolving."

The suggested age range is 21 to 39 and the Web site is renotathoeypn.com.
