Jeff Fisher, who launched The Success Partners Group after selling Reno Lawn & Landscape a couple of years ago, had known consultant Michael Walsh of Vancouver, British Columbia, for nearly a decade.
In fact, Walsh, the founder of Kaizen Consulting had advised an entrepreneurial coaching program in which Fisher was involved.
But it was only after Fisher joined with Stephanie Dmytriw to launch his own consulting firm that the two men began talking seriously about their philosophies talks that led to last week's announcement that the
Success Partners Group has merged with Kaizen Consulting.
The merger, Fisher said last week, provided an opportunity for his young, six-person firm to quickly gain the benefits of the experience that Walsh has accumulated during 13 years in the business.
For the Canadian consultant, a merger with The Success Partners Group offered an opportunity to begin a network of branch offices with an associate who will provide feedback about how the branch process is working.
Under the terms of the merger, Fisher will operate the Reno office under a licensing agreement for use of the Kaizen Consulting name and materials. Other terms of the transaction weren't disclosed.
Dmytriw, who also worked at Reno Lawn & Landscape before moving to the consulting firm, will continue as a senior partner in the Reno office.
Kaizen Consulting, like The Success Partners Group, focuses on development of profitable growth for small and mid-sized companies. It also provides services in succession planning and conflict mediation.
