Microsoft Licensing GP in Reno and IQ Technology Solutions, a Reno-based information technology support company, will provide two $15,000 technology makeovers to nonprofit organizations in northern Nevada.
Each of the companies is putting up $15,000, and Microsoft Licensing also will provide core software technologies to the winning nonprofits.
The nonprofits can use the funds for hardware, software or consulting services.
The winning nonprofits will be selected on the basis of an essay describing their needs, mission and objectives and detailing how they would use the IT makeover to improve service to the region.
"Our goal is to provide a charitable organization the information technology expertise and tools that will help them reach their goals," said Steve Cerocke, president of IQ Technology Solutions. (His company recently changed its name from IQ Systems.)
Any nonprofit charitable organizations serving the Reno-Tahoe area can apply.
Applications, which must be postmarked by Nov. 15., are available at www.iqcorp.com or by contacting Dariah Scott at (775) 352-2301 or dscott@iqcorp.com . NNBW staff
