Six cited in contractor license investigation

Nevada State Contractors Board investigators

issued six citations alleging contracting

without a license after a sting operation in

Reno.

Issued administrative citations were Jose

Carlos Lopez-Aguilar,who submitted a bid for

painting; Sterling Young, who does business as

Sterling "Rocky"Young Handyman and submitted

a bid for electrical work; Ray Medina,

who submitted a bid for electrical work and

the installation of pavers; Eric Rojas, who does

business as Green Forest Lawn Care and submitted

a bid for the installation of pavers; and

Stephen Brooke,who does business as SB and

submitted a bid for electrical work.

William "Bill" Lagorio, who does business

as Bill's Paving Design and submitted a bid for

pavers,was issued a criminal citation. Lagorio

was a licensed contractor who had his license

revoked.He allegedly takes homeowners'

money and fails to pay material suppliers,

resulting in liens being filed, a spokesman for

the contractors board said.
