Industrial properties in Douglas County stand about 22 percent vacant, says a new analysis by Kris Holt, executive director of the Nevada Business Connection.
The Carson City-based Nevada Business Connection seeks to recruit employers into the region.
Holt told the Douglas County Critical Issues Conference last week that 20 industrial buildings are available in Douglas County.
Some 5,600 acres are zoned for industrial uses, he said, and 2,600 acres are available. Douglas County is home to 75 manufacturers, he said.
