John Owens has been named general manager of the Nevada State Fair.
Owens previously worked as manager of the Anderson County Fair and Expo Center in Anderson, S.C., and as the marketing event director for the Volusia County Fair in Deland, Fla.
He also is the author of the book, "Opening Night: Creating Successful Events aimed at the Fair, Festival and Event Industry."
