Lex Simpson, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon, has rejoined the staff of Reno Orthopaedic Clinic.
Simpson, who previously practiced at the clinic from 1985 through 2001, most recently worked with CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center, P.C. in Encinitas, Calif. He also was chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at Cleveland Clinic in Florida from 2002 to 2005 and team physician for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League from 2001-2004.
Simpson earned a bachelor's degree from David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tenn. and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a residency at the University of South Florida, and completed fellowships at Switzerland's Kantonsspital St. Gallen and at the University of Toronto.
