Washoe County saw 316 sales of existing single-family homes during August, an increase of 3 percent from a year earlier.
The median price of $250,000 was down 18 percent from a year ago, the Reno-Sparks Association of Realtors reported last week.
The group said inventories of homes for sale through the MLS system continue to decline.
The available inventory of 3,684 single-family homes August was about 5 percent lower than a year ago.
