Derek Morse has been named interim executive director of the Regional Transpor-tation Commission. He succeeds Greg Krause, who retired.
Morse joined the RTC in November 1993 as engineering director, served as executive director from 1999 to 2001 and returned to the agency as deputy executive director and chief planner.
He also has worked as the executive director of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority in Florida and held several engineering positions in the public and private sectors.
A graduate of Idaho State University, Morse received a master's degree from Colorado State University in 1986.
