Brian McRae and Audra Miller have been promoted by Lumos & Associates Inc., and Cecilia Hamilton has joined the engineering firm headquartered at Carson City.
McRae, a licensed professional engineer, was promoted to principal in the Lumos & Associates office at Stateline.
He joined the firm as a project manager in 2003 and was named location manager of the Stateline office in 2005, when it was a satellite of the Carson City location.
He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Miller was promoted to planning manager. She works in the firm's Reno office.
She joined the firm in 2005 as a senior planner.
Miller earned a bachelor's degree from Baylor University, a law degree from William & Mary and a master's degree in environmental sciences from Louisiana State University.
Hamilton, a licensed professional engineer, joined the company as a project manager.
She most recently worked as principal of her own civil engineering firm and also has worked as a survey party chief and a design engineer.
She earned a bachelor's degree in physics, a master's degree in geophysics and a doctorate in geodesy (the study of the size and shape of the Earth) from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.
