Frank Lepori Construction has begun work on The Wave Carwash for owner Bill Manke, Jr. at 1201 E. Prater Way.

The 5,000-square-foot building will have five self-service carwash bays and two automatic wash bays. More than 9,000 yards of structural fill were needed to bring the five-acre site to proper elevation.

The facility is being constructed with environmentally conscious features that include:

* A water reclamation system that captures 60 to 70 percent of water used at the facility.

* Radiant heating in concrete slabs to prevent ice buildup.

* Concrete partition walls that will be built with modular concrete forms.

Lepori Construction subcontracted with Forbes and Dunnigan Structural Engineers, Buck's Plumbing, Sterling Electric and Two Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning on the project.

Harrison Herrera serves as project manager for Lepori Construction.
