Skier visits at Heavenly during the three months ended April 30 fell 18.3 percent from year-earlier numbers, Vail Resorts Inc., the owner of the resort at South Lake Tahoe, said last week.
The company said the decline apparently resulted as fewer destination visitors from elsewhere in the world traveled to Lake Tahoe to ski this year.
