Omboli Interiors Inc. of Reno last week won the Golden Hard Hat Award from the Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors for its safety performance.
More than 20 companies were recognized during the AGC's annual safety event.
In the building contractor division, GuiDenby Inc. was recognized for the best safety record among general contractors with fewer than 75,000 hours worked. Q&D Construction, Inc. was recognized for the best safety record among general contractors more than 150,000 hours worked.
Among general contractors in the engineering division, Silverado Excavating was recognized for the best safety record among contractors with fewer than 100,000 hours worked, PAR Electrical Contractors Inc. for the best record among contractors with more than 100,000 hours worked and Sierra Nevada Construction Inc. among contractors with more than 400,000 hours worked.
Omboli Interiors was recognized for the best safety record among specialty contractors with fewer than 100,000 hours worked, while RHP Mechanical Systems was recognized among specialty contractors with more than 100,000 hours worked.
Basalite Concrete Products was recognized for the best safety record among suppliers.
Recognized for no lost-time accidents were A-1 Steel, Inc. Aspen Developers Corp., Basalite Concrete Products LLC, Bragg Crane Service, Briggs Electric Inc., Construction Development Services Inc., Crane Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Frank Lepori Construction Inc., Gardner Engineering Inc., Granite-Dayton Materials, Granite Aggregates-Lockwood, GuiDenby Inc., J & J Mechanical Inc., Moody-Weiske Contractors, Northern Nevada Concrete Inc., Northern Nevada Excavating Inc., Omboli Interiors Inc., PAR Electrical Contractors Inc., Penhall Company, Quilici Construction, Reno Tahoe Construction Inc., Shaver Construction Inc., Silverado Excavating Company and Valley Construction Company.
Winners of AGC of America Awards, which recognize companies with substantially better safety records than the national average for similar companies, included A-1 Steel Inc., Frank Lepori Construction, J&J Mechanical Inc., Northern Nevada Concrete Inc., and Omboli Interiors, PAR Electrical Contractors, Quilici Construction, RHP and Shaver Construction, Inc.
