More than 1,000 entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs are expected at the third annual Entrepreneur Expo sponsored by Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Friday.
Educational sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, while exhibits from nearly 100 exhibitors will be open from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m. It's free.
Speakers and panelists will cover subjects such as financing a new business, creation of business plans and development of marketing strategies. Sessions will be conducted in English and Spanish.
Exhibitors range from attorneys and accountants to government agencies that assist businesses to consultants and educational institutions.
The event drew about 800 participants last year. The 100 exhibitors this year compares with 82 a year ago.

The expo is the keystone event of Entrepreneur Week activities in northern Nevada.
Other activities include an inventors and entrepreneurs workshop at the University of Nevada, Reno, on Saturday as well as events sponsored by the Sparks Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Nevada Development Authority and the Service Corps of Retired Executives.
