JC&C Wireless said last week it closed two retail locations in Reno and Sparks and is opening new stores in Gardnerville, Carson City and North Valleys.

The company closed its store at Kietzke Lane and South Virginia St. Sales volume was down 70 percent at the 10-year-old store, the company said, and pedestrian traffic declined as the result of vacant retail space in the area.

The company also closed a store at D'Andrea Marketplace at Vista Way and Baring Blvd. because of declining sales.

A new location opened last week at Highway 395 and Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, and the company's Carson City store will move to College Parkway and Highway 395 on April 1. A third new store is scheduled to open in North Valleys in July.
