Max Walenciak has been promoted to vice president of development and operations for Nevada Geothermal Power Co. in Reno.
He has worked as manager of geothermal project development since 2007 for the company, which is developing the Blue Mountain geothermal plant near Winnemucca.
Walenciak, a professional engineer, earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from San Jose State University.
